Iraqi Woman Oldest Pilgrim in This Year’s Hajj

IQNA – The oldest pilgrim arriving in Saudi Arabia for Hajj this year is a woman from Iraq.

Kazimiya Hatim, 104 years old, is the oldest pilgrim in 2024 Hajj

 

Kazimiya Hatim is 104 years old. She was welcomed with great fanfare when she arrived at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medina on May 25.

More than 33,000 Iraqi pilgrims are expected to visit Saudi Arabia during the Hajj period.

Iraqi agent Ali Abd Al-Rida Khazim accompanied Kazimiya from Medina to Mecca aboard the Al-Haramain train, after performing their visit to the Prophet’s Mosque.

He said Kazimiya had been determined to join the Hajj pilgrimage and her presence was a source of pride and happiness for the Iraqi Hajj mission and the Iraqi community in general.

He said she was in good health but was being regularly monitored.
